Integrated Communications (IC) is a one-year, graduate certificate program offered at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario.
Formerly called Integrated Marketing Communications, the program underwent a program review and with a few changes came a name change as well. The program is essentially the same with a few key differences, including the addition of an optional 4-month paid co-op after the second semester. This change, along with a few others, came in part due to the response to a graduate survey. The program now also features digital tools and analytics, writing for public relations, and graphic design courses in both the first and second semesters.
IC remains an intense, fast-paced program that prepares students to be business ready with skills that can be applied in the broad communications field. Our graduates go on to work in public relations, marketing, sales, and digital roles across a variety of organizations.
As part of their practical, hands-on educational experience, our students work with business and not-for-profit organizations to develop IC plans. These plans integrate all of the ways an organization communicates with its target markets and its various publics.
