IMC program faculty are gearing up for another busy semester, securing clients for a major student project and planning a Social Media Communications Summit.
This Summit, to be held on Oct. 11, is being planned for students in the Integrated Marketing Communications program, as well as students in the advertising and public relations programs.
We have lined up several speakers with experience in integrating social media into marketing, advertising, and public relations. We are also including a panel discussion about the issues facing business as they include social media in their communications mix.
What’s really great is that this event will be livestreamed on the School of Media and Design website so businesses in the area can listen in to the presentations. Questions for speakers can be sent via #socialmediaSOMAD on Twitter. The livestreaming and other audio-visual requirements for the event are being handled by second year Broadcast Television students.
