As part of the second semester portfolio class, Integrated Marketing Communications students complete a Myer’s Briggs assessment as a way to learn more about themselves. The results can tell a lot about the preferences an individual has for careers, work environments, and both work and personal relationships.
For some students, this growing self-awareness is important as they look ahead to completing their education and looking for the perfect job!
There has been an emphasis also this semester on how to be a good team player. Many of the program assignments are designed for teams; understanding one’s own preferences and realizing that others have different approaches – not wrong, just different – is an important lesson.
