Prospecting for new students

The Open House at Conestoga College today (March 16) is an opportunity for students and their families to find out more about the programs that interest them.

The post-grad Integrated Marketing Communications program is ideal for the recent graduate who is looking for job specific skills to put them at the forefront when job seeking.

Students must have successfully completed either a university credential, or a community college diploma, and have an interest in the marketing communications field.  The program also offers a credential to anyone who would have a related work history and is now seeking a post-secondary credential to enhance job advancement.

It is a full-time program and intense. There is a focus on group work to mimic the reality of the work place – an integrated marketing communications plan is a comprehensive planning document that involves marketing, advertising, public relations, branding, and consumer research. All of these skills are covered in the program that also features opportunities to work with real clients in the community.  In second semester, each student takes on a practicum placement and creates an IMC plan for an employer. This provides real experience plus an opportunity to build the resume and references.
