We had great attendance at Orientation 2013 on Tuesday evening. The 19 students who participated had a chance to meet their peers and to learn a bit about each other. They discovered some common interests in theatre and music, and some common educational backgrounds including communications and teaching. We also welcomed some International students who travelled a significant distance – they came from Russia, Ukraine, and India – to attend Conestoga.
An overview of the program was provided by faculty and introductory exercises gave the students a chance to share some information about themselves and to interact in a group exercise. They also brainstormed contributions for a Class Charter that will govern group and team activities throughout the year.
We anticipate a few more students will be added to the role call before the first day of school. It’s shaping up to be a great year for IMC!
