We were pleased when a large number of this year’s IMC class attended Orientation at Conestoga College, Tuesday evening, August 26.
The three key messages delivered during the evening emphasized the importance of:
1. bringing the right attitude
2. connecting the dots, and
3. supporting positive relationships and group dynamics.
In one activity, the students brainstormed a Class Charter which will guide expectations for group behaviour in the many team projects assigned throughout the year.
Those students who were unable to attend will have to ask classmates who came out what butterflies and buttermilk have to do with attitude, what the Brady Bunch has to do with connecting the dots, and what will support positive group dynamics.
Professors Steve Howell and Kim Denstedt look forward to the coming year!
