It’s Labour Day weekend and all through the land, students are anxious for the start of a new school year! Including those in the IMC2016-17 class at Conestoga College.
A successful orientation for the class was held the evening of Aug. 30 with 19 students in attendance. We anticipate a class of about 25 students this year.
2016 graduates Brenda Palma and Linnea Scian took some time to drop by and share their best tips, which included taking a step back and not overthinking assignments as a way to avoid feeling overwhelmed as well as talking to faculty if you feel overwhelmed.
The students created an image out of puzzle pieces that they coloured as they listened to information about our one-year post graduate program. The resulting image was an opportunity to discuss the values of strong team work, a key lesson that will be reinforced throughout the year in multiple group projects.
