A team project to create an integrated marketing communications plan for Waterloo Regional Crime Stoppers turned into a provincial award for IMC students.
The Community Service Award was presented June 11, 2017, by the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers to the Waterloo Regional Crime Stoppers, Conestoga College and the Integrated Marketing Communications Program.
The students were also featured presenters at the Association’s annual training conference where Marc Heroux and Clare Harper presented a highlight of the research and recommendations the 2 teams made with the goal of increasing tips.
Crime Stoppers is a national organization with local and regional volunteer committees that encourage residents to report crimes anonymously. The students were also the creative minds behind some collateral that the local Crime Stoppers will be using in the coming year. The image above is of Clare (at left) and Marc (at right) with faculty member Kim Denstedt standing in front of some of that creative collateral.
