In second semester, students work for a business or organization to develop an IMC plan as a requirement for one of their second semester courses. The IMC placement is a total of 80 hours. The employer is not required to compensate the student for this time; however,
The employer agrees to
- Provide a realistic work setting, with expectations that align with what is expected of any employee regarding attendance and reporting.
- Provide the time and information the student needs to develop an integrated marketing communications plan for the business (or any aspect of the business).
- Meet with a member of the college faculty at some time through the placement for feedback.
- Complete an evaluation form at the end of the placement and return it to the college.

You will be asked to complete a brief job description and you will have an opportunity to interview an interested student, or students. Faculty work to match skills and interests of students to employer expectations.
