The two sections of students enrolled in the IMC program this year have had a very busy start to the fall semester.
They have conducted a client meeting for a project in their corporate communications and advertising classes, launched a marketing project that will see them develop a new chocolate product, and attended a panel discussion by communications professionals as part of their public relations class. And that was just in Week 2.
But wait, there’s more.
In Week 3, they attended two workshops, one on Diversity and Inclusion and the other called Personality Dimensions; both were designed to help them work effectively with other people. The day also gave them a chance to relax and get to know each other over a pot luck lunch. We were treated to many great dishes including some Indian specialities, a Korean salad, and Vietnamese spring rolls along with meatballs, buffalo chicken and the tried and true standbys like potato chips, veggies and cookies. One fast-thinking group even brought along some chocolate treats and used the class as a focus group to test their inventions!
